Product Details:

Surface Preparation:
- Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free (maximum moisture content of 18%).
- Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original is ready to use – do not thin. Stir well using a flat stirring stick or spatula before use.
- Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Completely remove old paints and lacquers.
- Sand wood surfaces carefully:
- Flooring: Final sanding with P120-150 grit.
- Furniture: Final sanding with P180-240 grit.
- Remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum.
- Fill small cracks or holes with Osmo Wood Filler as needed.
- Note: A trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.
Method of Application:
- Using an Osmo Flat Brush, Floor Brush, Oil Finish Applicator Fleece, or Osmo Microfibre Roller, apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well.
- Allow drying for approximately 8-10 hours with good ventilation.
- Apply a second coat thinly after drying.
- The surface is fully cured after 2-3 weeks.
- For renovations or recoating, one thin coat on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Regular Cleaning:
- Use Osmo green Dust-Mop, broom, or vacuum to remove debris.
- Damp mop with diluted Osmo Wash and Care using an Osmo Micro-Mop Plush.
- Avoid saturating the surface with water.
- For convenience, use Osmo Spray-Mop for floors or Osmo Spray Cleaner with Osmo Easy Pads for smaller areas.

Occasional Maintenance:
- Spot clean stubborn marks or refresh surfaces with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.
- Alternatively, use Osmo Maintenance Oils for most Polyx Oil sheen levels (ensure surfaces are cleaned before application).

Recoating:
- Reapply one coat when signs of wear are visible, ensuring the surface is clean and dry.
Important Notes:
- Oils enhance the natural tone of wood, resulting in a permanent wet effect.
- Applying the product too generously or insufficient ventilation can delay drying.
- For dark and extractive-rich hardwoods (e.g., Wenge, Merbau, Jatoba), use Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin and conduct a trial application.
- For cork surfaces, apply very thinly and allow longer drying times (at least 24 hours).
- For cabinet interiors and drawers, apply max. one thin coat with a cloth.
- For higher gloss levels, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner very thinly and polish when dry. Avoid using it on surfaces not fully cured.
