Toupret Finish Filler Ready to Use 20Kg
Taping and jointing a room of plasterboard is where a 20kg tub earns its place. Mixing powder by the bucket costs you time you would rather spend running the blade, and no two mixes come out quite the same.
Toupret Finish Filler arrives ready to use — open the tub and work. It is a finishing-grade filler built for jointing plasterboard and for skimming previously painted walls back to flat.
What it goes on
- Plasterboard joints, butted or tapered — the job it is designed for.
- Previously painted walls that need skimming rather than patching.
- Gypsum, cement, concrete and cellular concrete.
The timings
- Up to 5mm in one coat. Anything deeper gets built up.
- Second coat as soon as the first is hard and dry to the touch.
- Paintable in 12 to 24 hours, and it takes paint without spot priming — which is the step this filler exists to remove.
It sands easily and does not bubble as it dries, so you are not chasing pinholes back across a joint you had already called finished.
Coverage and conditions
Consumption is 1700 g/m² at 1mm thick, so a 20kg tub gives roughly 11.5 m² at that thickness — and a great deal more than that if you are only filling joints.
Work between +8°C and +35°C, below 70% humidity. A cold damp room in February will not dry to the times above.
Apply by putty knife, blade or trowel. It will also go through an airless machine or an automatic taper if you are boarding at volume.
What it is not
Interior only — Toupret is explicit that it must not be used on exterior surfaces. And it is a rigid finishing filler, not a flexible caulk: it will not take movement, so it belongs on a board joint and not in the gap between skirting and wall.
Guaranteed 12 months from purchase in the unopened tub, stored out of sunlight and away from frost.
