Mirka HEPA Filter for DEXOS Dust Extractors
The standard DEXOS filter holds the machine to M-class, 99.9% of dust. For the work where that is not enough, the Mirka HEPA Filter for DEXOS takes the final filtration to 99.97% at 0.3 microns: the very fine fraction from sanding old paint, hardwood, MDF and fillers that the standard filter lets through.
Genuine Mirka part MIX1264071. Fits every DEXOS, the 17 litre 1217 and the 30 litre 1230 alike, in place of the standard filter cartridge.
When to fit it
- Sanding old coatings where you do not know what is in them.
- Occupied buildings: homes, schools, healthcare, where the exhaust air goes back into the room.
- Any specification that asks for HEPA on the extractor rather than M-class alone.
What it is not
It does not change the machine’s dust class. A DEXOS with a HEPA filter fitted is still an M-class extractor with better final filtration. It is not an H-class machine, and it does not make the extractor suitable for asbestos.
Change it with the machine unplugged, and bag the old filter before it leaves the room. Fitting steps are in the DEXOS operating instructions in Datasheets below.
