Mirka Abranet 100x152x152mm Grip (50 Pack)
Corners, mitres and the inch of wall above a skirting board are where a round disc runs out of ideas. That is what the delta shape is for.
Mirka Abranet 100x152x152mm Grip is the delta net abrasive for the DEOS 663, and the point of it is the point: the tip reaches into an internal corner and along an edge without you having to drop to hand sanding.
Grits stocked
Four, and they sit in the middle of the range on purpose, because detail work is rarely the heavy end of the job:
- P120: flattening filler on a patch or a corner bead.
- P150 and P180: refining what P120 left.
- P240: a paint-ready key.
If you need to shift proud filler first, do that with a coarser grit on a flat machine and bring the delta in afterwards for the detail.
The tip goes first
All the pressure on a delta ends up at the front corner, so that is where the abrasive and the pad both wear out. A pad saver under the abrasive takes that punishment instead of the backing pad, and Mirka make one in this size for the 663. It is the cheapest part in the chain and the one worth keeping on the van.
