Klimas DSP310 Caulking Gun
A cheap caulking gun costs you twice — once when you buy it, and again in every wasted cartridge and ragged bead afterwards. The gun is the part of caulking that decides whether you get a clean line or a fight.
The Klimas DSP310 is a cradle-frame gun for standard 310ml cartridges, with a moulded pistol grip and a hanging hook.
What actually matters in a caulking gun
- Consistent thrust. A gun that delivers evenly lets you match trigger speed to hand speed. Uneven thrust is what gives you a bead that's starved in places and lumpy in others.
- A clean release. The rod has to back off the moment you stop squeezing, or the cartridge keeps extruding after you've stopped moving. That continued creep is the single most common source of caulk ending up where it shouldn't.
- A grip you can hold all day. Caulking a whole house is several hundred trigger pulls. A bare metal handle lets you know about it by the second room.
- The hook. It hangs off a ladder rung, a bucket rim or a step. A small thing, and the reason you never set a weeping cartridge down on a customer's carpet.
Getting a clean bead
Cut the nozzle at 45 degrees and start small — you can always open it up, never close it back down. Keep the gun moving at a steady speed and push the bead ahead of the nozzle rather than dragging it behind. Tool it within a minute or two, before a skin forms.
Takes standard 310ml cartridges, which covers most decorators' caulk, silicone and adhesive.
