Tec7 WP7-201 Spray & Seal Waterproof Repair Spray 500ml
Tec7 Spray & Seal is a rubber-based repair spray that is waterproof the moment it lands, so it will stop a leak on a wet surface in the rain rather than waiting for a dry day. It sprays on as a black, flexible rubber membrane with no joints or overlaps, which is what makes it useful on the shapes a cartridge sealant struggles with — gutter joints, downpipe splits, flashing, hairline roof cracks and the awkward junctions around them.
What it is used for:
- Sealing leaking gutters, gutter joints and downpipes
- Patching splits and hairline cracks in roofing, felt and flashing
- Sealing around penetrations, upstands and awkward junctions
- Protecting metalwork, sills and vehicle underbodies from stone chips and rust
- Damping down vibration and drumming noise on thin metal panels
Working with it. It goes on black, so on a visible surface plan to overcoat it — once fully cured it can be sanded and painted with most standard paints. Build it up in thin passes rather than one heavy one. At 0.5mm thickness it takes roughly 90 minutes to cure fully at 20°C and 50% relative humidity; thicker films and colder weather take longer, though the waterproofing itself is immediate.
Worth knowing. This is a repair and protection product, not a decorative coating and not a substitute for a proper roof repair where the substrate has failed. It works on damp and wet surfaces, but they still need to be free of loose material, moss and grease or it will not key.
Supplied as a 500ml aerosol (400g), black. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
