Ronseal 4 Inch Fence Life Brush
Rough sawn timber is hard on brushes. The sawn face acts like coarse abrasive, and a good synthetic wall brush will lose its shape and start shedding after a couple of fences. The Ronseal Fence Life Brush is a 4 inch (100mm) brush built specifically for that work.
The filling is set for pick-up and release rather than for a fine finish. It carries a lot of product and pushes it into sawn grain, gaps and end grain instead of skating across the surface — on a panel fence, that's the difference between covering it properly once and going back over dry patches.
Details that matter on a fence job
- Soft grip handle. Fence and shed work is long, repetitive and usually done at awkward heights. A moulded grip is worth having by the third panel.
- Integrated clip on the handle, so the brush hangs securely on the rim of a tub or bucket rather than balanced on a lid or laid down in the grass.
- 4 inch width — wide enough to cover a fence board in one or two passes, narrow enough to still cut around posts and rails.
What you can use it with
Suitable for all paints, preservers, oils and stains. It's matched to the Ronseal Fence Life range, but there's nothing proprietary about it — it will work with any shed and fence treatment.
One piece of advice: keep this brush for exterior timber only. Once a brush has been through fence stain and rough sawn boards, it will never cut a clean line on interior woodwork again.
