Fluxaf PVCU Restorer 500ml
White uPVC doesn't stay white. It picks up traffic film, algae, water staining and a general grey cast that ordinary cleaning won't shift — because the dirt has worked into the surface rather than sitting on top of it.
This is a water-based restorer made for exactly that.
What it removes
- Ingrained dirt in the surface texture of window frames, doors and cladding.
- Water staining and run marks below sills and along glazing bead.
- General discolouration — the dull grey cast weathered uPVC develops.
Why water-based matters here
Aggressive solvents attack uPVC. They can craze the surface, soften it, or leave it permanently dulled — which is precisely the outcome you were trying to reverse.
A water-based restorer works on the dirt without going after the plastic underneath. It's slower than a solvent would be, and that's rather the point.
Using it
Work on a cool surface out of direct sun. Apply, give it a moment to work rather than scrubbing straight away, then agitate with a cloth or sponge and rinse off.
Test an inconspicuous corner first. Coloured, foiled and woodgrain-effect uPVC behaves differently from plain white — a foil finish is a surface film rather than solid colour, and it can be damaged.
Also useful before painting
If you're going on to coat uPVC, surface contamination is the usual cause of adhesion failure. Restoring and degreasing first does more for the result than any amount of extra primer.
