Glutolin K Uni-Fix Wallpaper-Repair Adhesive 60g

Wallpaper rarely fails in the middle of a drop. It fails at the seams, the corners, the borders and the overlaps — the places where the paste went on thinnest, the paper was cut, or two edges had to meet.

Uni-Fix is a small tube of ready-to-use adhesive for exactly those spots.

Why not just use more paste

Standard wallpaper paste is formulated to spread thin over a large area and to allow slip while you position the drop. That is the opposite of what a lifted seam needs — which is a high-grab adhesive laid in a narrow line that holds straight away and doesn't want the paper repositioned.

It also dries transparent, so a repair on patterned or textured paper doesn't leave a bloom where adhesive has squeezed out at the edge.

Where it's used

• Lifting seams and joints — the most common repair by a distance.
• Overlaps, including vinyl-on-vinyl, where ordinary paste won't bond at all.
• Internal and external corners, where the paper is under tension and wants to spring back off the wall.
• Borders applied over existing paper.
• Window and radiator niches — the awkward transitions where paper has been cut and turned.

Using it

Solvent-free and ready to use straight from the tube. Apply to the substrate or to the back of the paper, spread thinly with a small brush or spatula, press the paper down and roll the seam.

Work above 5°C. Below that the bond never develops properly — and a cold hallway in January is precisely where seams lift in the first place.

60g tube. Small, but it repairs a great many seams.
