Edma Inspection Light Stand 2.8m
Checking a wall with a light in one hand leaves you nothing to fill, sand or mark with. A stand fixes that, and height is very nearly the whole specification.
The Edma Inspection Light Stand 2.8m (ref. 274155) is the steel telescopic tripod built for the Edma Cordless LED Inspection Light. It runs from 1.08 m up to 2.80 m, and reaches 3 m once the light is sitting on top of it.
What the height buys you
At 3 m the beam clears a standard ceiling, so a full wall can be raked from skirting to cornice in one set-up instead of checking the bottom half, moving everything, and trying to remember what you saw. On a stairwell or a double height hall that is the difference between inspecting the wall and guessing at it.
Wound down to 1.08 m it sits low enough to graze a floor, a stair string, or the bottom metre of a wall where filler shrinkage tends to show up first.
Specification
- Height: 1.08 m to 2.80 m, reaching 3 m with the Edma light fitted
- Material: steel
- Feet: foldable
- Weight: 3 kg
- Fitting: supplied with the adapter for the EDMALIGHT connection, and takes anything with an M8 thread
The weight is the point
Three kilos of steel is not an oversight. A light stand that goes over at full extension takes the light down with it, and at 2.8 m there is a lot of leverage on three folding feet. Spread them properly and keep the lead, if you are running one, out of the walkway.
What else it will hold
Because the mount is an M8 thread, it is not tied to the Edma head. M8 is common on site lighting, but check the thread on whatever you intend to mount before you buy the stand for that purpose.
