Roll Roy Blades for Wall & Floor Scraper (10 Pack)
A floor scraper is only as good as its edge, and that edge goes quickly. It's the nature of dragging steel across adhesive, grit and screed.
This is a pack of ten replacement blades for the Roll Roy 100mm Wall & Floor Scraper.
Why to change them sooner than you think
The instinct with a blunt blade is to push harder. That's wrong on three counts:
- It's slower. A sharp blade slices under the residue. A blunt one compresses it and skids over the top.
- It damages the substrate. Extra force plus a rounded edge is exactly how you gouge a screed or dig into floorboards.
- It's harder on you. Floor scraping already punishes the back and shoulders. Doing it with a dull blade doubles the effort for the same result.
At this price a blade costs around 45 cent. There's no version of the arithmetic where nursing a blunt one comes out ahead.
Handling and storage
These are sharp across their full width, not just at a point. Keep the pack somewhere it can't be reached into blind, and put used blades in a taped container rather than loose in a bin bag.
Store them dry. Loose blades in a damp van will spot with rust, and a rusted edge is no better than a blunt one.
Ten blades per pack, for the Roll Roy 100mm scraper.
