AlphaTec 1800 Comfort Spray Suit
Spray work ruins ordinary clothing, and a cheap coverall that splits at the shoulder on day two costs more than it saved. The AlphaTec 1800 Comfort is Ansell's Type 5/6 disposable coverall, built for painters, sprayers and anyone working around fine dust or light liquid spray.
Why painters specify this one
It's silicone-free. That matters more than it sounds. Silicone transferred from a garment onto prepared metal or timber is a classic cause of fisheyes and cratering in the finish coat — and one of the hardest defects to trace back to its source. A silicone-free suit takes that risk off the table.
Construction
- Microporous polyethylene laminate across the front and arms — the barrier layer against particulates and liquid spray.
- Breathable SMS panels on the back, underarms and hood, with antistatic treatment. This is the "Comfort" in the name: the suit vents where you generate most heat, so it stays wearable through a full session rather than an hour.
- Bound seams rather than raw stitching, giving a stronger and cleaner join.
- Three-piece hood that turns with your head instead of dragging across your face.
- Two-way front zip with resealable storm flap, plus elasticated hood, waist, wrists and ankles.
Protection
CE Category III, certified to Type 5 (airborne solid particulates) and Type 6 (limited splash of liquid chemicals), with EN 1073-2 and EN 1149-5 antistatic performance.
Available M to 3XL. Disposable coveralls size close — if you're layering underneath, or need to squat and reach freely, take the next size up.
